Hosting and care
Hosting and care after the site is live
A launch is a Tuesday. The certificate, the backup, and the hour change on Friday are the rest of the year. True North Web Design keeps Launch sites on a care plan that starts at $39.99 a month: hosting, SSL, backups, and a short block of content edits. The build itself starts at $750. Care is optional, and it is not a lease on the site.
Owners tell us they do not want to learn a panel to change a holiday hour. That is the edit we mean. A new photo, a swapped phone number, a sentence on the homepage. Larger work, a new service page, a booking flow, a redesign of a section, is quoted so you are not burning the monthly minutes on a project. Call (865) 235-1305 if you are not sure which bucket a change is in.
Hosting without a person is how sites rot. The theme updates itself into a white screen, the form keeps emailing an old address, and nobody notices until a customer does. Care is the arrangement where someone is supposed to notice. We watch the things that take a business offline, and we keep a backup that is newer than last year.
We host the sites we build. We are not a discount registrar competing on a $3 plan, and we will not pretend that plan includes a human. If you already have hosting you trust, we can talk about it, but the care plan is simplest when the site and the backups live where we can reach them. Businesses anywhere in the country use the same plan. You do not need a Knoxville address.
Security on a small business site is mostly unglamorous: the certificate stays valid, the admin path is not the theme's default, and old staff logins go away. We would rather do those chores than sell a "cyber package" with a dashboard you will never open. If you handle patient details or card numbers inside the site, say so at the start. That is a different build than a marketing page.
Apps and custom software do not live on the $39.99 plan. A database and sign-in need their own monthly number, written next to the quote. The marketing site in front of the app can still sit on the simpler plan. We separate those bills so a brochure is not priced like a dispatch tool.
If your current host is fine and the site is the problem, start with the free audit, not a migration. Moving a broken site to a faster server does not create a headline or a working phone link. Fix the page, then decide who should keep it.
Care is a month at a time because the site is already yours. Canceling does not turn the pages off as a penalty, and it does not hand the writing back to a vendor you cannot export. What the $39.99 plan covers is specific: hosting, the certificate, backups, and a short block of content edits such as a changed hour, a new phone, or a seasonal line. It does not cover a new service page, a redesign, or an app. Those are quoted. If something breaks, the useful question is whether the page is down or the offer is wrong. A restore brings back the files. It does not invent a headline. If you already have a host you trust, we can leave the site there when that is the honest answer. Moving a weak page to a faster server is not a project we will sell. Apps and software sit on a different monthly number, said before you approve a screen. Call (865) 235-1305, or read the hosting page against the Launch range on pricing, then decide who should keep the site.
Questions we hear
- Is the care plan required?
- No. You can take the build and host it yourself. Most owners would rather not, which is why the plan exists.
- What is included in the monthly edits?
- Small content changes: hours, a phone number, a photo, a short paragraph. New sections and new features are quoted.
- Can you host a site you did not build?
- Sometimes, after we look at it. If the site is a locked theme we cannot safely update, we will say so.

The audit is free. It reads the live page and scores the checks that decide whether someone calls. Or talk to a person: (865) 235-1305.
