Who this is
True North Web Design is a web design studio. The work is not limited to one city. This policy covers this website. It does not cover Camper Guard, CampTech, or any other site we built for a client. Those businesses have their own pages and their own practices.
What you send us
The short contact form and the discovery questionnaire send your name, email, phone if you gave one, business name, and the answers you typed. That record is stored on the studio desk so we can reply about the project. It is not sold, and it is not used to build an advertising profile. The desk is private, but anyone who can sign in to it can see those notes. This desk is for the studio, not for customers.
A copy is emailed only when a mail service is configured for the studio. If mail is not set up, we still keep the note you sent. The thank-you on the form appears only after that save succeeds.
What stays on your device
A draft of the discovery questionnaire is also saved in your browser so you can leave and come back. The site score and the field comparison, if you choose to start a project from them, are saved the same way. Clearing this site’s data in your browser erases that draft. It does not delete a note that was already sent.
What the score tools send
When you score a site, or compare it with competitors, you give us a public web address. Our server fetches that public homepage long enough to read the title, headline, and the other checks on the page, then returns a score. We do not put that page or that score in a database. A normal host log may briefly record that a request happened. Do not submit a private, personal, or non-public address.
The desk
The desk is a private board for the studio. Leads stored there — including notes from the public forms — stay on our server. A bot can add a lead only with the studio’s intake token. That token is a password. Don’t post it in public.
How we contact you
If you send a form, we may contact you by email or phone about that request. We will not text you unless you explicitly opt in. A phone number on a form is not an opt-in to text messages.
Cookies
Signing in to the private desk uses an essential cookie so the session stays yours. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or other non-essential tracking. Because of that, this site does not show a cookie banner. A draft of a form can also stay in your browser’s own storage until you clear it. Pages load fonts from Google, which is covered above.
What we do not do
We do not run Google Analytics or a Meta Pixel on this site. We do not sell information. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and this site is not aimed at them.
Fonts
Pages load Instrument Sans and Instrument Serif from Google Fonts. That request goes to Google, and Google sees the usual connection data, including an IP address. The rest of the page is ours.
Contact
Questions about this policy go through the contact page on this site. Include the word privacy so it is obvious what the note is for.
